About Bertie
Hello everyone! I’m Bertie, one of the calmest souls here at Second Chance Animal Rescue. I live with my best friend George and we’ve been side by side ever since we arrived together. You’ll rarely see one of us without the other. I’m a quiet, easy-going donkey who loves nothing more than a peaceful day in the sunshine, a gentle cuddle and spending time with the lovely volunteers who look after us. I can be a little shy at first but, once I get to know you, you’ll see how affectionate and loving I truly am.
I’m also quite the observer. I like to keep an eye on what’s happening around the rescue. Always curious but calm, with my ears twitching and my tail swishing contentedly. Everyone here says I’m a gorgeous boy with a sweet, gentle nature and the kindest eyes. Life is pretty perfect when I have my best friend by my side, a sunny spot to relax in and a few extra cuddles from the people who care for me.
