The Covid-19 pandemic has put us all under pressure in the last year here at SCAR it is no different. We have lost a large part of our income by being unable to fundraise, do events and hold open days in the last year and sadly it's not looking like we'll be able to start again soon.
With the recent wet weather causing flooding and muddying our fields, we're spending over £600 a month on hay and straw with almost 500 animals to feed and keep dry and warm.
Whilst we have a farmer who gives us a good deal on our hay and straw we're expecting our bill to be £2000 by April. We know that times are hard so if you can help us, however little, it will make a huge difference to us and our animals.
To everybody who has, and continues to, support us in so many ways - thank you! It really does mean the world to us all.
Donate Food and Other Items
We frequently get asked about donations of food and other items. There are a lot of things that could make a big difference to our work, the list below is just a few. If you would like to donate items they can be dropped off to our donation area at our main gate on any day between 10am and 1pm, to our donation bin at Pets at Home in Orpington or to our donation trolley at Asda in Swanley.
