About Stumpy
Hi everyone, I’m Stumpy! I’m a curious little meerkat with a big personality and a heart full of happiness. I arrived many years ago with a couple of other meerkats from another rescue centre that sadly had to close, and I’ve been happily settled at Second Chance Animal Rescue ever since. I may be a little cheeky but, I’m a content little soul who enjoys being right in the middle of everything that’s going on.
I absolutely love a smorgasbord of treats, especially juicy fruit, and I’m never far from the action when snacks are about. My enclosure is a brilliant place to call home, with plenty to explore, climb, cosy up in and lots of sneaky spots to surprise the volunteers. With tunnels to dash through, toys to play with and snug dens to relax in, there’s always something to keep my curious mind busy.
I share my home with a good friend and together we’re always chatting, playing and looking out for one another. You’ll often spot me standing tall at my lookout point, keeping watch over the rescue. I keep an eye on everyone coming and going, greeting volunteers and visitors as they pass, and making sure I know exactly what’s happening around me. Cute but very alert, I take my role as lookout and protector very seriously; even if I do it with a cheeky glint in my eye.
