About Barley
Hello everyone, I’m Barley! I’m a very big bunny with an even bigger heart. I’m known around Second Chance Animal Rescue for being incredibly gentle, quiet and unbelievably cute. The kind of rabbit who makes everyone smile the moment they see me. I’m well loved (and I know it) and I return that love with sweet cuddles, calm company and the softest nose boops.
Despite my impressive size, I’m a real softie. I adore affection and will happily sit with my favourite humans, soaking up cuddles and enjoying a tasty treat or two. I’m not one for mischief. I prefer a peaceful life filled with comfort, kindness and gentle attention. If there’s a cosy spot to relax, you’ll usually find me there, looking adorable without even trying.
One of my favourite things is going on little holiday breaks with the volunteers throughout the year. These special trips mean extra playtime, bigger spaces to stretch my long legs and plenty of chances to run, explore and make new rabbit friends. I love having room to hop about freely, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air like a proper bunny adventurer, just at my own calm, relaxed pace.
Life at SCAR is full of love but, sponsorship helps make sure I continue to enjoy the very best, from delicious treats and comfy bedding to enrichment toys and those special holiday adventures.
