About Colin
Hey there, I’m Colin! I’m one of SCAR’s most lovable little characters and a ferret with a lot of personality packed into a tiny, wiggly body. I arrived here with my mum as part of a litter of playful kits. While all my siblings have bounced off to their forever homes, I’ve remained at Second Chance Animal Rescue. Not because I’m unwanted but, because I’m very loved. The volunteers adore me and honestly, I’m quite used to being well and truly spoilt!
My mum did a great job raising me, keeping my cheeky energy in check (most of the time) and now that I’m all grown up, I’ve moved into a bachelor pad with some other rescued boys. Life is brilliant! Playtime is my absolute favourite thing in the world, and I take it very seriously. I love zooming around at top speed, diving headfirst into boxes of shredded paper, digging and burying like a true ferret explorer, and wriggling through tunnels so I can ambush my friends when they least expect it.
When I’m not busy causing mischief, you’ll find me napping in a warm patch of sunshine or curled up somewhere cosy. I especially love curling up inside the volunteers’ jumpers or clothing while they’re trying to clean my big enclosure. It’s the perfect place for a sneaky cuddle and a quick nap. They pretend to be distracted but, I know they enjoy it.
I’m playful, curious, happy and always up to something cheeky. Life at SCAR is full of fun, friends and adventure. Your support helps make sure I have everything I need from enrichment toys and tunnels to comfy beds and tasty treats. I promise to keep everyone smiling with my adorable antics, endless zoomies and super cute ferret charm.
