About Paddy
Hello everyone! I’m Paddy, a miniature Shetland pony with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. My start in life was a tough one. I was sadly rejected by my mum and came to the team at SCAR very poorly. Things didn’t look good for a while but, thanks to lots of care, love and a sprinkle of Shetland spirit, I proved everyone wrong. Despite my little legs, I’m one strong, determined pony who’s now living life to the fullest.
These days, I’m known for being cheeky, playful and full of character. I absolutely love cuddles and attention (and believe me, I get plenty!). I share my home with three lovely donkeys in a beautiful paddock where we can run, munch on hay and soak up the sunshine together. My best friend is Norman the donkey. We’re completely inseparable and always side by side on our adventures.
I may be small but, I make a big impression. I’m usually one of the first to greet our volunteers and visitors with a friendly whinny and plenty of charm. With your support, you’ll help keep my little hooves happy and my world full of warmth, friendship and sunshine. From the sickly foal who defied the odds to the mischievous, loveable pony I am today, I’m proof that even the smallest rescue can have the biggest heart.
