About Tyson
Hey there! I’m Tyson, a proud Shire horse with a story that will tug at your heart but don’t worry, it has a very happy ending. In 2021, I was found abandoned and left for dead in a ditch, too weak to stand, eat or even lift my head. Some kind passers-by called the amazing team at SCAR and they rushed to my rescue. It was touch and go for a long time. I was severely underweight, covered in injuries and had lost almost all my strength. But with patience, treatment and a lot of love, I slowly began to fight back. They call me a little fighter, which is why I was named Tyson, though there’s nothing little about me anymore.
Now, I’m a stunning, strong and happy Shire horse living my best life with my horse friends in a big open field. I love a good treat, adore being pampered and will never say no to a long grooming session. It makes me feel like royalty! Every day, I trot over to greet my favourite volunteers for cuddles and nuzzles, grateful for every bit of kindness I’ve received. My story touched hearts all over the world and it’s thanks to that love and support that I’m here today, confident, healthy and surrounded by friends.
